Over the years, CFUW has taken a stand on innumerable social issues based on our policies (i.e. adopted resolutions). Here you will find more information on some of these issues, the actions CFUW national and clubs have taken, advocacy tools and resources, as well as information about the resolutions process, International Women’s Day, our National Initiative, and Study Groups.
Advocacy has been important to CFUW since its formation in 1919. The first six clubs that eventually came together to form CFUW had advocacy as a primary pillar in their community work.
Our Policy Book consists of resolutions passed since 1964 by both the CFUW and Graduate Women International (GWI), formerly known as the International Federation of University Women (IFUW).
